Magical Breath —

As soon as there is nothing to do – 

The body can relax freely. 

As soon as there is nowhere to be – 

Body and mind can rest easily. 

 

Just follow your breathing quietly – 

Be anchored by mindful breathing. 

It is a practice for the present – 

A gift of peace and healing. 

 

Just follow your breathing quietly – 

Your stress will slowly subside. 

It is a sweet spring flowing inside – 

It is good friend standing by your side. 

 

Life is a wonderful miracle – 

And this breath makes magic possible. 

It is a wand of great transformation – 

That can heal body and mind. 

 

Mindful breathing can bring us joy,  

Help us to see our real direction –  

Maybe it is a path of self-destruction?  

Or a path of mindless consumption?

 

So, this humble and essential thing – 

This inhaling, exhaling, breathing – 

Is a most extraordinary gift – 

A precious gift of life!
